"A fantastic display. It took displaying back to its roots... Excellent photographic opportunities too." The next Sywell Airshow will be on 22nd August 2010, with a Vintage Fly-In the day before (free admission for the public - a normal day at the aerodrome). The Sywell Airshow is back for 2010, once again supporting the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, with several favourites from previous shows returning along with some new faces - and some old friends. We have raised several thousand for the Air Ambulance in previous years and hope to smash our own record in 2010. The theme for our 2010 show is the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain - so expect a tribute to "The Few" - and we are also championing female pilots; the First Women's Aerial Pageant was held at Sywell in 1930 and the attending Spitfire will be flown by Caroyln Grace - echoing the work done by their counterparts during the War in ferrying much needed aircraft around the UK for the RAF. In addition to the flying display there will be aircraft on static display along with military and vintage vehicles, numerous trade stands, flight simulator, fairground rides and the Sywell Aviation Museum - the Sywell Airshow is the perfect family day out!
