On Saturday 24th May members of the Sywell Airshow Committee were despatched to the
Northampton Town Show at the Saints Rugby Ground in Northampton.
Paul, Linda, Bod, Steve and Ben took the Sywell Aviation Museum's DH Chipmunk and Steve Slater's FRED Homebuilt to help to publicise the airshow and raise money for the Air Ambulance - over £100 was taken so well done to all! "The show was splendid with a fascinating variety of displays." The next Sywell Airshow will be on 24th August 2008, with a Vintage Ragwing Fly-In the day before The Sywell Airshow is back for 2008, once again supporting the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, with several favourites from the 2004/2006 shows returning along with some new faces - and some old friends. We have raised several thousand for the Air Ambulance in 2004 and 2006 and will hopefully raise even more this year. In addition to the flying display there will be aircraft on static display along with military and vintage vehicles, numerous trade stands, flight simulator, fairground rides and the Sywell Aviation Museum - the Sywell Airshow is the perfect family day out!
